Cookies / browser storage

How this site uses cookies

The supplied code does not set cookies

The HTML, CSS and JavaScript supplied for this website do not write cookies, use localStorage or use sessionStorage. There are no analytics trackers, advertising pixels or embedded external media in those files. The articles, navigation, comparison tabs and message workspace do not require optional tracking.

This describes the supplied application code, not an independent audit of a hosting provider or any separately added consent system. Hosting services can set security-related cookies, and a deployment may add its own preference controls. Any such additions should identify their purpose, provider and duration in the deployed site’s notice.

What cookies and local storage mean

Cookies are small values a website can ask a browser to retain and return with later requests. Local storage is a separate browser mechanism that can retain values until they are removed. Neither is the same as a browser caching a stylesheet or keeping a page in its history.

The supplied interface keeps temporary state in page memory, such as whether the mobile menu is open or which comparison tab is selected. This code does not persist those choices between visits. Browser history and session restoration may independently preserve some page or form state.

Message drafts, copying and downloads

Preparing a message creates text in the current page. Copying it places that text on your device clipboard; downloading it creates a file. Neither action creates a site cookie. Your operating system, clipboard manager, browser or backup service may retain those copies. You control whether to delete a downloaded file or overwrite copied text.

External links and technical requests

Photography, styles and scripts are referenced locally rather than loaded from third-party content services. Following an external source link takes you to a different website, which can use cookies under its own rules. Requests to this site also reach its hosting infrastructure; those requests are separate from browser storage and are discussed in the privacy notice.

Managing browser data

Your browser’s privacy or site-settings area can show and remove cookies and other stored site data. Clearing browsing data may also remove preferences set by other services and does not erase messages you have emailed or files you have downloaded. If a separate consent interface is present on the deployed site, use its available preference controls as well.
